The final day of Fishtober. Happy Halloween! I feel like Linus out in the Pumpkin Patch looking for the Great Pumpkin. I'm looking in deep slow moving pools, behind rocks, and in undercut banks for my two foot hooked jawed Great Pumpkin. Last night I dropped my son off at a dance at 8:30, and went to the river with a mouse. I got it bad. Don't get me wrong, I love a bouncing running jumping Rainbow as much as the next person, but my heart does sink a little bit when the big thump happens, and I see Rainbow. The Brown pictured below is close to what I'm looking for, but not quite. When I first saw him I thought maybe. I don't know if it will happen this year. Still a little time before we get slushy.
Fishtober is so fine! The best time of year! Keep on fishing!!!
P.S. the fish pictured below all ate the streamer! And they hit it like a train!
